Resolved Question: Can a solar panel charge a chevy volt to give it more range?

I have a small solar panel that sits on my dash when I'm not driving because my car has a power drain somewhere and if left a few days it wont start without a boost. This made me wonder... Would one of these charge a new Chevy Volt enough to even notice? Mine plugs into the 9v cigarette lighter and charges the battery, but Ive also seen ones that wire directly to the battery and live in the back window of a vehicle. Ive also seen a company in California that converts the roof of a Toyota Prius into a solar panel for more electric range. Anyone know if it would make any difference?... Read More »
